On Wednesday April 16, 2025, Fireboy DML showcased his latest album, Adedamola at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London. Dressed in a regal gold and brown suit, with backup singers and a rock band, Fireboy DML blew the roof off the concert hall. Performing his greatest Afrobeats songs like Ecstasy, Everyday, and Hell and Back, he captured the joys and struggles of an ambitious young artist. In many ways, the venue was the perfect setting for Fireboy to present his keen observations about love, success and self-doubt. His delivery and showmanship were spot on. Fireboy DML gave the audience a window into the audacious journey of dreaming big while confronting pressures of fame and lost love. My favorite moments were when he sang Iseoluwa, and Peru, songs that illustrated the whirlwind feelings of success. On this night, Fireboy DML, a humble guy from Nigeria, wore his heart on his sleeve unafraid to show the vulnerabilities of striving for greatness. With his emotive vocals, and charismatic honesty, one couldn’t help but root for him. If you’re interested in listening to some of his albums, I highly recommend: Adedamola, Playboy, Apollo, and Laughter,Tears and Goosebumps.
